Nancy Pifer
Teen Court Adult Volunteer |
Nancy Pifer has been a volunteer with the Teen Court program since the 1st court hearing. She arrives at every Teen Court with a ready smile for every youth volunteer, defendant and parent during check in. She organizes the jury members, provides support and direction during deliberation and signs defendants documentation. During the week she visits the individual schools, meeting with the defendants and working with school administrators to receive updates. Nancy has transformed her role from adult volunteer to program spokeswoman as she works with the School Resource Officers and administrators to encourage referrals to the program and shares the program with the community any chance she gets. In addition to her service with Teen Court, Nancy is a dedicated volunteer for Granville County Schools, serves as an advisory council member for Granville Greenways and is the treasurer for church, Grassy Creek Baptist Church. She is the proud mother of Ashley and Alexis.
